Coach education is the one of the most important things in a football club, The better coaching the players get the better players they become.
The coaching environment we want in the club is one that supports coaches with their teams and one that is always open to fresh ideas. In the past year in our club 30 coaches have made their first step onto the coaching ladder which is a great achievement as a club.
All of our coaches will be supported in continuing their coach education with the FAI by the club. The aim of our club is to hold the highest standards of coaching we possibly can as a club leaving no stone unturned.
We are continuing our in house coach education sessions every 6-8 weeks to progress as a club. The aim for us in the coaching department in the club is to have qualified coaches with a love for the game from the nursery in the club right up to the senior squads.
What we need from coaches in our club is to want to better themselves as coaches so we can give the players the right tools to excel at the highest level they can. We want our coaches to be enthusiastic and too love what they are doing and to create a fun & challenging environment for our players.
We want all our teams to have a structure to their training sessions and a reason behind every coaching point that is made to the players. Before Covid 19 hit we got video analysis in the club to help progress our teams and coaches and we look forward to using it once games return.
