Corduff Park Redevelopment

Corduff Park Redevelopment

CORDUFF FC STATEMENT – Corduff Park Redevelopment

Monday, 11th of December

As some of you may or may not have been aware of or seen plans for – there is to be a large re development of Corduff Park in the near future.

You can see the proposed Schedule of Works & relevant documentation on Fingal.ie here.

Corduff Park Pitch 2 Now and After

We have been waiting a long time for the Astro upgrade, and the addition of a new playground & more parking spaces is more than needed.

And while we welcome the improvements and addition of paving, meadows and planting, we cannot fathom how it needs to be at the expense to our members, the players and the club as a whole with the loss of pitch 2.

You can see from the photo above it will be replaced with wildflowers & a new pathway towards a 𝐧𝐞𝐰 & 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 entrance to the park from Edgewood Lawn.

Losing Pitch 2

Losing pitch 2 would have such a long term detrimental effect on the Club that it could never be the same. We couldn’t sustain the number of teams we currently have [𝒂 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒖𝒑 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔]

We could not run the club at the level we do now with amazing tournaments, mini Leagues etc with only 1 grass pitch in Corduff Park, it wouldn’t be feasible. This feels like a huge step back for the club and community.

Right now Fingal County Council are currently in the planning and consultation phase which is when we are allowed to submit our objections etc so this is an 𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙮 important time for us as a Club that our voice is heard.

We sent our submission to Fingal which you can view on Fingal.ie here.

So if you agree and support us – what we are asking is that you would make a submission [either online or in writing] to Fingal County Council regarding the loss of pitch 2 and the impact it would have on you as a member of the Club & community.

Submit Your Appeal to Fingal

DEADLINE IS 21st DECEMBER
